Bryan County Family Connection provides administration for two Service Centers–in Pembroke and Richmond Hill–that house our BCFC Offices. Also house United Way of the Coastal Empire, Coastal Georgia Area Action Authority, MedBank, and the Bryan County Opioid Prevention Program. Also provides no-cost office and meeting space for other non-profit agencies including The Fraser Counseling Center, Helen’s Haven CAC, Gateway CSB, Girl Scouts, Richmond Hill Community Theater, and others. The Jean Harris Volunteer of the Year award, which recognizes the efforts of a Rotarian or non-Rotarian woman who has made a significant contribution to the development and progress of others in the community, was presented to Cheyenne Thornton, Executive Director of White County Family Connection.
DFCS partnered with GaDOE to provide food benefits to families with children who receive free or reduced school lunch. GaFCP is committed to supporting this effort and will work closely with DFCS and GaDOE to make this resource available in communities across Georgia by communicating with local partners in all 159 Georgia counties.
